Experience Design Specialist I: $42,120 annually plus benefits
Experience Design Specialist II: $45,825 annually plus benefits

Must be able to work day, evening and weekend hours

Experience with 3D design and printing, Adobe Suite, Laser Engraving, or other makerspace equipment and software is preferred.


Location: Exploration Commons at 50 East in Westminster

Job summary:

Engages customers in the Exploration Commons Makerspace and Teaching Kitchen and assists with their design, fabrication, and cooking needs in person, on the phone, via email, or through social media. Creates and implements instructional programming for ages eight and up for the makerspace and the teaching kitchen. Facilitates and manages use of the meeting rooms, supports clerical and administrative functions, and performs other duties as assigned.            


Required Education/Experience:                              

        I:     High School diploma/G.E.D. and 1-2 years directly related experience; Associate degree or college coursework in a related field preferred.

OR

        II:    Bachelor’s Degree and 1 – 2 years directly related experience.

Requires 90 contact hours of approved in-service training through Library Associate Training Institute (LATI) within first 2 years of employment or 9 hours of formal academic course work in library science.

AND

  • Instructional experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with design software (Adobe Creative Cloud and Autodesk).
  • Familiarity with the makerspace and/or kitchen equipment.
  • Highly effective communicator via email, telephone, and in person.
