John Yingling Field Naming at Towson University

John B. Yingling ’71 and Family Practice Field

Mr. John B. Yingling participated as a member of Towson University’s inaugural football team in 1968. After graduating from TU in 1971, he played semi-professional football, as a defensive back with the Carroll County Chargers for 5 years, helping lead the team to two championships in 1973 and 1974. John serves as a leader in his community just as he did on the field. The Yingling family has made a multi-generational positive impact on the Carroll County and Baltimore region, and this continues at TU. He is currently the treasurer of the Greater Westminster Development Corporation, serves on the Board of Carroll Hospital Center, and is a board member of The Carroll Community College Foundation. He remains a champion for Tiger Athletics and Towson University, generously supporting programs, facilities, and scholarships.  John sees tremendous value in Towson University Athletics and the university’s mission. Towson University is proud to honor John and his family for exceptional philanthropic leadership and steadfast commitment to Tiger athletics.
