This is a First time /Preview screening of new Maryland Public Television documentary. Growing into Greatness is a public television-oriented documentary that highlights the natural grandeur of Maryland’s champion trees, the largest of their species in the U.S. and the film includes one 300-year-old national champion tree located in Westminster.
The film is by Robert Lemieux, associate professor of Communication and Cinema, at McDaniel College. Made possible through a Carroll County Arts Council Community Arts Development Grant, with assistance from the Big Tree Program, Maryland Department of Natural Resources and the Maryland State Arts Council.
Donations are welcomed in support of Carroll County Arts Council Community Programs but are not required.
