About

The Carroll Technology Council was conceived in 2001 by the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce to assist businesses and the community with their technology needs. As the Tech Council matured, the need for businesses to congregate and share with like-minded peers became apparent. The Carroll Technology Council became an independent non-profit organization in January 2004.   In 2020, the Tech Council rebranded as the Carroll Technology & Innovation Council to better suit the needs of its members and the direction of the organization.Since its inception, the Carroll Technology & Innovation Council has developed many new programs that benefit the County. The focus has been on building relationships between member organizations, facilitating the development of business & technical expertise and potential business opportunities for them.As a community partner, the CITC works diligently to bring technology to those in need.  Through our TechKids and TechWorks programs,  the CTC has donated computers to area youth, adults, and nonprofits.  To date, we have donated over 4,000 new and refurbished computers to the community! The Council is a trusted voice, capable of handling information requests and disseminating helpful answers. We work closely with local media and publish our own communications to reach the community with pertinent technology updates. Throughout the year, the CTIC hosts a variety of engaging events for its members and the general community.
