The Chamber’s Outstanding Teacher Awards program recognizes the men and women of the Carroll County Public School System who represent excellence in the teaching profession. The Chamber honors hundreds of teachers each year at the awards program. Eight teachers are selected for a special award – the Chamber’s Outstanding Teachers Award. These teachers become nominees for Carroll County Teacher of the Year.  Also, three Scholarships are awarded to teachers completing a Master’s Program in teacher education or to attend training programs they can bring back to the classroom.

Nominated Teachers:

The Outstanding Teacher Awards recognize the men and women of the Carroll County Public School System who represent excellence in the teaching profession. Any full-time teacher, including specialists and resource teachers, in the Carroll County Public School System is eligible for nomination. Carroll County Teacher of the Year winners are not eligible to be finalists. In addition, school counselors are not eligible for nomination under Maryland State Teacher of the Year eligibility requirements.
