The holidays can be tough. Amid joy, many of us experience stress from overspending, travel, grieving the loss of a loved one, traditional holiday expectations, and loneliness. Join us for an opportunity to slow down, notice, and reflect as we prepare to take a mindful pause before the holidays. During this mini-retreat, we will consider how mindfulness can serve as a simple tool for stress management and resilience. We will learn about expressive writing, mindful movement, meditation, and sound & silence exercises, exploring them through an embodied experience. This retreat experience is designed to support your physical, mental, and spiritual health and well-being. Please bring a pen, notepad/journal, yoga mat, small pillow, and blanket for use during the retreat. The retreat day includes lunch. Sherrell Moore-Tucker is a holistic wellness educator and the founder of MindBody FAITH (MBF). MBF is an online Christian wellness community that offers believers a safe space to cultivate wellness practices that support good stewardship of the body, soul, and spirit. Sherrell specializes in teaching pain sufferers how to improve their quality of life by decreasing stress and chronic pain and developing a holistic movement and meditation practice that supports personal goals while addressing whole health and well-being. She shares key principles based on science, teaches individuals how to move and meditate efficiently and safely, and helps clients cultivate a daily rhythm and routine for true health.
