CCAC’s Children’s Theatre presents musical “Space Pirates!” The Carroll County Arts Council’s Children’s Theatre Troupe presents “Space Pirates!” an out-of-this-world musical adventure, the weekend of May 19 - 21 at the Carroll Arts Center. Pirates! Aliens! Space travel! “Space Pirates!” tells the story of Gabby, a kid who gets picked on during a school trip to the museum. Everything quickly changes when an alien spaceship accidentally beams Gabby and her classmates up to outer space. Things go from bad to worse when the alien spaceship is suddenly attacked by intergalactic scallywags! It’s only after this whirlwind space adventure that Gabby becomes comfortable in her own skin, and her classmates appreciate her for who she is. Featuring 16 local students in grades 3-5, this Arts Council-produced show is directed by the CCAC’s Theatre Coordinator, Lindsay Sier. “I directed a smaller production of this show a few years ago for one of our summer camp programs, so it’s been exciting to revisit it on a larger scale!” says Sier, “The whole cast, pirates and aliens alike, have worked incredibly hard to present this joyous show.” Performances will be held on Friday, May 19 at 7pm; Saturday, May 20 at 2pm; and Sunday, May 21 at 2pm. Tickets are $8 Adults / $6 ages 25 & Under and ages 60 & Up. CCAC Members get an additional 10% off.
