A Lenten Retreat Day There is a crack in everything God has made. ~Ralph Waldo Emerson.
The wound is the place where the light enters you. ~Rumi Ring the bells that still can ring.
Forget your perfect offering. There is a crack, a crack in everything. That’s how the light gets in. ~Leonard Cohen, Anthem
In this Lenten day retreat, we will explore the counterintuitive wisdom that vulnerability and our wounds are often a primary portal to God’s grace, healing, and transformation. We will weave together the path outlined by 12-Step Spirituality, the lives of the saints, and the message and witness of Jesus Himself into a way forward through faith into renewed hope and light when we feel overwhelmed by life’s painful challenges.
You are encouraged to bring a journal and your tender, authentic heart as we explore together in courage what has been called the “spirituality of imperfection.” Lunch is included. Guided by Amy Sorensen Kulesa.
