About

GA is a private school that serves close to 60 students from over 40 zip codes in Central Maryland. Our students have language-based learning differences such as dysgraphia, dyscalculia, dyslexia, and language processing difficulties including autism. Through an engaging, customized learning experience, our students are supported in their pathway of growth and self-discovery to lead their best lives.

GA provides an individualized, multi-sensory learning environment for our students in first through twelfth grade. We take pride in personalizing pathways that accentuate students’ gifts and interests while accelerating growth opportunities. A customized, comprehensive, collaborative approach is used to facilitate student-centered learning experiences through hands-on and authentic opportunities that foster problem solving and critical thinking in humanities. Students develop a strong sense of numeracy skills through multisensory mathematics. Explicit and embedded instruction takes place daily in areas of executive function coaching, teaching of coping skills and sense of body cues, and social and emotional regulation awareness. Provided as necessary are speech and occupational therapy services, and the utilization of the Orton-Gillingham approach for students requiring structured literacy approaches. Each student is supported and celebrated by a team of educators who are committed to personalizing instructional experiences aligned to each students' strengths, talents, and gifts.
