Community & Non-Profit Organizations

The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.  Our Programs include: Youth Programs Social Services Disaster Relief Shelter / Housing Missing Persons And so much more....  Our Carroll County location provides social service assistance to residents of Carroll County. In addition, to expand dining options for the community, we operate two complimentary cafes in central Maryland. Brass Hat Cafe in Westminster serves free, hot meals every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 4:30 pm – 6:00pm. We also have an onsite food pantry, which is stocked with nonperishable food and toiletry items. Walk ins and scheduled clients are eligible to receive items upon verification of identification and proof of housing with cooking facilities. During the warmer months, The Salvation Army partners with the local food bank to host food give aways or “Pantry-on-the-Go”, which is a large food distribution event to provide immediate supplementary food assistance throughout the community.  Salvation Army Angel Tree Program: The Salvation Army Angel Tree program helps provide Christmas gifts for hundreds of thousands of children around the country each year. Once a child or senior adult has been registered and accepted as an Angel their Christmas wish list is shared with donors in your community who purchase gifts of new clothing and toys. The gifts are distributed to the family to place under their family Christmas tree.  Click HERE to learn more!
