The Firm’s #2 ranking was announced at an awards ceremony on September 9 at Gertrude’s Restaurant Baltimore Museum of Art in Baltimore, Maryland.

The Best Companies to Work for in Maryland award identifies and honors the best places of employment in the state. It is a research-driven program from Best Companies Group that examines a company’s practices, programs and benefits and surveys employees for their perspectives. To be considered, companies needed to be a publicly or privately held business; be a for-profit or nonprofit business or government entity; have a facility in the state of Maryland; have at least 15 full- or part-time employees working in Maryland; and be in business a minimum of one year.

This is the third year that Brown Plus has been named to the Best Companies to Work for in Maryland list and the fourth year of the program. The rankings were determined through a two-part evaluation process. The first part involved evaluating each nominated company's workplace policies, practices and demographics, worth approximately 25 percent of the total evaluation. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure employee experience, which consisted of 75 percent of the total. The combined scores determined the final rankings of the top companies.
