The Carroll County Arts Council is proud to announce the opening of the 19th Annual PEEPshow, to be held Friday, March 27 through Monday, April 6 at the TownMall of Westminster. This sweet event features 180+ marshmallow masterpieces, created by local artists, businesses, organizations, families and individuals. These artistic creations come in all sizes and formats, from very large 3D to small 2D, sculptures, dioramas, mosaics and videos. All entries are crafted from, or inspired by, PEEPS®, the candy confection made by the Just Born company of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania since 1953.

The signature event of the Carroll County Arts Council, the PEEPshow event draws more than 21,000+ visitors annually to Carroll County over the ten-days of the event. Entry to the event is always FREE, open to the public, and is fun for all ages, interests and abilities.

Held inside the TownMall of Westminster, the event includes exhibit space with entries, photo stations, gift shop, children’s area, and new this year, a Community Resource Garden, an exhibition space hosting 25+ local non-profit organizations to share information and resources with visitors.

Stephen Strosnider, Executive Director of the Carroll County Arts Council shares that, “What people love most is coming to vote for their favorites. We invite everyone to come out, leave the noise outside and just enjoy some good, old-fashioned fun! We hope you will join us and thank you for your support!”

Previous year PEEPshows have featured a wide variety of entries, including an 8-foot dragon, the Swedish Chef from the Muppets Show, Goofy, Snoopy, Winnie-the-Pooh, the Statue of Peeperty, and a host of magical monsters, sports heroes, movie characters and other clever celebrations of pop culture, history, and fine art. Last year’s show featured over 23,000 PEEPS®!

 The top ten entries with the most live and online votes combined will receive Audience Favorite awards, with the first-place entry being named the Grand Prize winner and a separate award is presented to the video entry earning the most votes. Voting for video entries will only be available online. Artistic Excellence awards will be chosen by the Arts Council staff and Sponsor’s Choice awards will be selected by PEEPshow sponsors. Awards ceremony will be broadcast on Facebook Live on Monday, April 7th  at 11:00AM on the Carroll Arts Center Facebook page.

Admission to the event is free. Hours are 10am - 6:00pm Monday through Saturday and 12pm - 4:00pm on Sundays (including Easter Sunday). The Carroll Arts Center will be closed during the entire run of the event.
