Carroll County Businesses Invited to Inspire Next Generation at Inaugural CarrollWorks 2026 Career Exploration Event

WESTMINSTER, MD – The Carroll County Workforce Development Blueprint Team is officially inviting local businesses and professionals to participate in the inaugural CarrollWorks 2026: Connecting Youth to Local Business event. This major countywide career exploration initiative will take place on October 21 and 22, 2026, at the Carroll County Ag Center’s Shipley Arena in Westminster.
The two-day event is specifically designed to introduce Carroll County Public Schools 7th-grade students to a diverse array of local career paths and industries. By bridging the gap between classroom learning and future employment opportunities, the event aims to spark early career awareness and help students visualize potential career pathways within their own community.
Organizers are seeking representatives from businesses of all sizes—ranging from hands-on trades and local small businesses to high-tech corporations. Participating professionals will have the unique opportunity to engage students directly through interactive conversations, sharing personal career journeys, outlining daily workplace responsibilities, and demonstrating core industry skills.
By joining CarrollWorks 2026, local employers can actively address future workforce needs, showcase the value of their industries, and strengthen the vital network connecting regional schools to the local business community.
Local business owners and professionals interested in exhibiting or learning more about interactive presentation opportunities are encouraged to contact Career & College Readiness Program Manager Tammi Casson directly at 410-386-2833 or via email at tcasson@carrollcountymd.gov. Organizations ready to secure their space can complete the registration process directly online via the official CarrollWorks 2026 Business Registration Form.
