Community Media Center Salutes Carroll County Veterans with Special All-Day Broadcast
On November 11, 2025 the Community Media Center,(CMC) will observe Veterans Day with a special broadcast featuring interviews with Carroll County Veterans. The all-day broadcast will air on cable channels HD-1072 and channel 19.
This year CMC recorded interviews with over a dozen local veterans as part of the Carroll County History project’s Veterans Oral History Collection. The Carroll County History Project includes interviews with over one hundred local veterans.
The special broadcast on November 11th features interviews with veterans spanning the decades from WWII, to Vietnam, Afghanistan and beyond. Their personal accounts help bring history to life, adding a unique context and perspective that you won’t find in a textbook.
The goal of the Veterans Oral History Collection is not only to honor the courage and sacrifice of our local veterans, but also to preserve their memories as a lasting resource to help educate future generations. These important personal accounts can provide powerful insights into the experiences of our local veterans.
In addition to the special broadcast, interviews can be accessed via the Carroll County History Project’s permanent online video archive. Viewers can watch these and other interviews, and learn more about the Carroll County History Project by visiting our webpage at https://bit.ly/VeteransSalute
Special thanks to our Gold Sponsors, Atlee Hill Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center and Carroll Lutheran Village and to our Bronze Sponsor; Farmers and Merchants Bank for their generous support of this project.
