Community Media Center to hold Westminster Mayoral Candidates Forum

The Community Media Center (CMC) will hold a Westminster Mayoral Candidates Forum on Thursday, April 24, 2025 starting at 7:00 PM. The forum will be held at the Community Media Center located at 1301 Washington Road, Westminster, MD.

The two (2) candidates running for the office of Mayor are: Mona Becker and Nicholas Thomas.

Bob Blubaugh, the Community Media Center’s managing editor for digital content, will serve as the moderator for the event. Residents are invited to attend and may submit their questions prior to the forum by emailing them to elections@carrollmediacenter.org.

The forum will be streamed live online at www.carrollmediacenter.org on Facebook and on YouTube. In addition, the CMC plans to broadcast the forum live on Comcast cable channel HD-1072 and channel 23.

The Westminster Mayoral Candidates Forum will be recorded for rebroadcast. The first rebroadcasts will be on April 25th on Channel 19 at 7:00 PM and on Channel HD-1072 at 9:30 PM. The forum will continue to air until election day on Tuesday, May 13, 2025.

In addition to the Candidates Forum, the Community Media Center has created a special Municipal Election Voters Guide on the CMC website at https://www.carrollmediacenter.org/cmc-voters-guide. The Voters Guide includes all candidates running for public office in the 2025 Municipal Elections. Each municipality has its own page and will include candidate listings, video profiles, candidate forums, important election dates, polling locations and other resources.

The Community Media Center is conducting this forum as a public service for the residents of Carroll County and does not endorse any political candidate or political organization.
