Exciting STEM Opportunities for Young Women & Men – Apply Now!


Applications for the 8th annual Exelon Foundation STEM Academy summer program are now open and young women interested in STEM are encouraged to apply! Additionally, the 2nd annual Exelon Foundation Boys to STEM Academy summer program is now open and young men interested in STEM are encouraged to apply! These are two separate opportunities, one for young women and the other for young men. Please be mindful when submitting applications as applications submitted to the incorrect portal will not be considered.

The 2025 Exelon Foundation STEM Academy is a free, week-long program for current 10th and 11th grade girls (class of 2026 and 2027) interested in STEM that live in the Baltimore area. Students will learn from professionals working in STEM and other leaders; explore sustainability, energy efficiency, renewable energy, and climate change through hands on activities; and connect with like-minded peers.  The Exelon Foundation STEM Academy Baltimore summer program will be held Sunday, July 20th - Friday, July 25th at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.

All interested students, educators, or parents are welcome to join us for an informational session.  Participants will be able to ask questions, hear from Boys to STEM Academy alumni, and learn more about the summer academy.
