$19.66  - $29.49 per hour

The initial compensation for this position generally falls between $19.66 and $20.64, contingent upon relevant experience and qualifications.

Average hours are 9 per week or less, with a flexible schedule that may vary.

All schedules are based on the needs of the library.

Must be flexible to work day, evening and weekend hours.                       

Must be able to work in both the teaching kitchen and makerspace.

Location: Exploration Commons at 50 East in Westminster, MD

Job summary:

Engage customers in the Exploration Commons Teaching Kitchen and Makerspace and assist with their general needs in person or on the phone. Assists in the implementation of instructional programming for ages eight and up for the teaching kitchen and the makerspace. Facilitates and manages use of the meeting rooms, support clerical and administrative functions, and performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education/Experience:      

• High School diploma/G.E.D. and 1-2 years directly related experience; Associates degree or college coursework in a related field preferred.
• Six months or more customer service or retail experience required.
• Instructional experience preferred.
• Familiarity with commercial kitchen equipment and/or makerspace.
• Highly effective communicator via email, telephone, and in person.
