Experience Design Specialist I: $42,120.00 - $67,392.00 annually plus benefits

The initial compensation for this position generally falls between $42,120.00 and $44,226.00 contingent upon relevant experience and qualifications.

Experience Design Specialist II: $45,825.00 - $73,320.00 annually plus benefits

The initial compensation for this position generally falls between $45,825.00 and $48,116.25, contingent upon relevant experience and qualifications.


Location: Exploration Commons at 50 East in Westminster


Job Summary

Engages customers in the Exploration Commons (EC) Teaching Kitchen and assists with their cooking needs in person, on the phone, via email, or through social media. Develops and implements instructional programming for the Teaching Kitchen. The Experience Design Specialist II – Teaching Kitchen position represents a higher level of skill, responsibility, and independence than the Experience Design Specialist I – Teaching Kitchen. Facilitates and manages use of the meeting rooms. Provides administrative and clerical support as needed.

 

Education and Experience:          

Experience Design Specialist I – Teaching Kitchen:             

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least one year of directly related commercial kitchen experience
  • Six months or more of customer service or retail experience
  • Obtain Food Protection Manager certification within the first year of employment
  • Obtain Instructor Proctor Certification within the first year of employment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associates degree or college coursework in a related field
  • Instructional experience

Experience Design Specialist II – Teaching Kitchen:

        Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree

One to two years of directly related experience with commercial kitchen equipment

Requires 90 contact hours of approved in-service training through Library Associate Training Institute (LATI) within first 2 years of employment or 9 hours of formal academic course work in library science

  • Obtain Food Protection Manager certification within the first year of employment
  • Obtain Instructor Proctor certification within the first year of employment

Preferred Qualifications

Instructional experience

Familiarity with kitchen equipment
