Position Summary:
Mechanical Foreman will lead a small team for a
49-year old successful and stable Structural Steel, Miscellaneous Metals Fabrication and Installation Company.
Location:
Baltimore, Maryland home office, and daily travel to job sites in Maryland & Northern, Virginia.
(Per diem paid for long-term stays in Virginia area when necessary.)
Mechanical Team Foreman
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints to understand project specifications
- Inspect welds for accuracy and quality
- Follow safety protocols and procedures, including OSHA guidelines
- Supervise welding projects to ensure completion within budget and schedule
- Collaborate with team members on project scheduling and construction estimating
- Interpret schematics to guide welding activities
- May be expected to weld and fabricate metal components according to project requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Pipe Fitting knowledge & experience
- Proven experience as a Welder with expertise in blueprint reading
- Proficiency in budgeting and project scheduling
- Knowledge of construction estimating techniques
10 plus years' experience
Heat treating knowledge - Multiple weld type capability
- Thorough understanding of safety procedures
- Weld procedure training capabilities
- Experience with OSHA regulations for safe welding practices
- Ability to supervise welding projects effectively
Compensation & Benefits:
- $35/hr. approximately (salary of approximately $72,000) *Paid weekly
