The Grounds Maintenance Crew Leader position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing the Grounds Maintenance programs for City streets, parks, and public properties. This position is responsible for directly supervising a crew in all aspects of grounds care, planning the daily work schedule, and assisting the City Arborist with special projects.

An employee in this position will perform and supervise the completion of a variety of projects relating to grounds maintenance work on City property, as well as stormwater management areas including, but not limited to trimming, pruning, mowing, mulching, and pulling weeds. This position will assist with special events and programs, oversee snow removal, and oversee the repair and maintenance of grounds equipment.

Requires a High School diploma or General Equivalency Diploma GED; Three (3) years of experience in grounds management and maintenance; or equivalent combination of education, training, and related experience. Possession of a valid Class C driver’s license and possession of, or ability to obtain within six months on the job, a valid Class A restricted CDL driver’s license with tank vehicle and air brake endorsements.

The hourly rate for this full-time position is $25.0810.
