Barnes-Bollinger Insurance is in need of a full- time Insurance Agent within our Personal Lines Department! This in office position is perfect for someone with 1-3years P&C insurance experience, but we are willing to train someone with strong customer service experience who is looking for a long-term, rewarding career. 

The ideal candidate would have:

• An enthusiastic team player
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook & other Microsoft Office tools, including professional email communication and proper email etiquette.
• Comfortable handling a high volume of inbound and outbound phone calls in a professional and courteous manner.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: 

Assisting clients via phone, email, and in person with policy changes and updates, as well as providing support for billing and claims inquiries. Assisting with general office administrative duties, and providing overall support as needed to the team. The in-office hours for this position are: 8:30am- 5pm Monday through Friday.

This position includes a prepaid weekly salary of $650, paid as a draw against quarterly commissions. Employees must obtain the appropriate licensing in order to earn commissions; until licensure is completed, the weekly base salary will serve as the employee’s primary compensation. Total annual compensation typically ranges from $40,000–$50,000, depending on experience and performance.

Continued employee is contingent upon the employee successfully passing the Maryland Property & Casualty licensing exam within 60 days of hire.
